Ran Anafi

Ran Anafi is an Architect and 3D Artist. Alongside his day job of planning and sketching architectural projects, he's been exploring different ways of using architectural tools and methodology to manufacture alternative projects, tending towards the moral absurdities of the profession and its framework.

In his view, architectural representations are trying to paint future projects and schemes as utopias, though everyone ascribes them as realistic. Acknowledging that, Ran sees using this media for different eccentric takes as justifiable, and can remind us that not all that shines is good, that every project got a social context, and most importantly, that utopias tend to live only on paper.

"Ironically enough, both the occupations of business and architecture were glorified as a triumph of the nature of men."

" High-rise buildings are pointy in their nature. Structurally speaking, it's best to reduce the forces as you move upward. Our nature is to interpret their shape. Letting our first impression run wild to make more sense of the space we live in.

High-rises became an icon for the rich, famous, and influential. Every business leviathan wants to be resembled and known by its name on top, conquering another tip in the city's skyline.

Ironically enough, both the occupations of business and architecture were glorified as a triumph of the nature of men."
